Fees & Charges

Fees and charges are determined by the provisions and Principles of the Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth).

Fees and Charges are subject to an Income Test (Home Care) or Assets and Income Assessment (Permanent Residential Care).

Full Fees and Charges details are available by contacting Administration. There is also a Fees Estimator available through the My Aged Care website www.myagedcare.gov.au

Residential Care

There could be three (3) elements:

  • A Basic Daily Fee equivalent to approximately 85% of the full single aged pension amount (virtually all residents pay this fee); plus where applicable
  • An Accommodation Payment as a refundable accommodation deposit (RAD) or daily accommodation payment (DAP) or a combination of both (subject to the Assets and Income Assessment); plus where applicable
  • A Means Tested Care Fee (MTCF)

Check the My Aged Care website www.myagedcare.gov.au for details of current accommodation prices for Akooramak residential care.

Home Care

There could be three (3) elements:

  • A Basic Daily Fee equivalent to approximately 17.5% of the full single aged pension amount; plus where applicable
  • An Income Tested Fee (ITF); plus where applicable
  • A contribution towards the cost of providing meal content; where applicable

Home Care fees can be adjusted, and/or dispensed with altogether, subject to the clients customised needs and choices (We are happy to discuss how this could be achieved).
